Boron influences pH buffering and biological processes in seawater. Corals and other organisms use it in small amounts. A correct narrow range supports stability; sudden large shifts are riskier than with major ions.

Quick tips

  • Use the same unit for reading and target (e.g. both ppm, both dKH for KH, or both ppt for salinity).
  • Volume = effective system water in liters (rough estimate is OK, but the cleaner the better).
  • This only plans increases. If you are already too high, the tool will not offer a “raise” dose: use water changes, media, or advice from your coach — not more of the same product upward.
